In addition, we would be delighted to provide our personal recommendations, as well as assisting in the creation of your vacation itinerary. To avoid disappointment it is a good idea to make arrangements early in your stay for any excursions, tours or water sports activities.

Providenciales Activity Suggestions - Compliments of Miss Seven -

BANANA BOAT
If you are looking for a bit of wet fun, then try a Banana Boat ride. You’ll see the big yellow inflatables zooming up and down Grace Bay carrying passengers 20 minutes of uninterrupted fun and thrills. You’ll be laughing all the way!

BOAT RENTALS
Explore the deserted southern shores or untouched areas only accessible by boat by renting your own small vessel. If you prefer to have someone else lead you to our islands’ paradises, charter a power boat with your own captain who knows the underwater terrain. Excursions will take you to neighbouring cays to photograph iguanas, beach comb, snorkel and explore. Boat rentals can be arranged by the hour, half day or full day rental.

BOTTOM FISHING
This is also called reef-fishing. It produces a lot of bites, a large catch and allows to you to fish in different areas, depending on tide and water conditions. The type of fish you may catch could include a realm of snapper and grouper. These trips are offered as a half day group trip or full day private charter options.

BONE FISHING
Providenciales offers some of the best bone fishing in the world all year round and is considered a Mecca for this type of fishing. Our waters are unfished compared to other destinations and the easily spooky bonefish is not scared by other boats. From the expert fisherman to the beginner angler, charters and instruction are available to cater to a variety of levels. These boats can carry up to 2 people plus the captain and are offered in a half day or full day tour options.

CAVE EXPLORATION
Go exploring to some incredible caves thought to be over 130,000 years old on Middle Caicos. This impressive chain of limestone caves (the largest in the Caribbean) and the steep, breathtaking limestone cliffside of Mudjen Beach make these natural wonders a subject of many photos and must-see attractions. Your local cave guide will lead you through this impressive cave system. This is a great day trip by boat, complete with a picnic lunch. These tours are generally about 7.5 hours roundtrip.

CONCH FARM
Explore the only conch farm in the world, where Caribbean Queen conchs are raised from veliger to adult. Here you can watch how the process is done, enjoy a show with the two trained and very friendly conchs Sally & Jerry, see conch pearls and even purchase fresh conch for a fabulous salad. Tours are offered daily and are about 30 minutes in length.

DEEP SEA FISHING
Turks & Caicos are blessed to be the perfect geographical fishing destination. The islands are ringed by the third largest barrier reef that is the nursery for all that swims. The deep blue waters that surround the outside of the reef are home to the open ocean species; shark, barracuda, marlin, mahi-mahi, tuna and Wahoo. These can be either half day or full day private charters and can accommodate all levels of fishing.

GLASS BOTTOM BOATS
A Glass Bottom Boat is a great option for families that wish to venture out and explore the fascinating underwater life that surround us. This is an alternative that allows every member to participate. For the non- swimmer a dry option of viewing the underwater world through glass panels set into the stern of the boat. Snorkelers can hop overboard and explore the beauty of our coral reefs. Half day tours or private charters are available.

GO KARTS
Everyone needs a little high-speed excitement in their life. Climb aboard one of our hi-performance Go Karts and experience the thrill of banked curves, hairpin turns, and exhilarating straight-aways. So if you’ve got the need for speed, we’ve got the go-fast Go Karts to satisfy the speed freak in all of us. Single use and day passes are available for adults and children over the age of 9 years. For those a bit younger, there is an arcade on site for entertainment.

HELICOPTER
The helicopter is the perfect platform to carry you to get a fantastic view of the islands and to pamper yourself. You will be able to obtain some amazing aerial shots, while enjoying a commentary of your guided trip. These tours are approximately 15 minutes, 25 minutes or can be booked hourly.

HORSEBACK RIDING
Your well- behaved island pony will carry you along quiet country roads, along canals and back bush trails in the picturesque Long Bay area until you find yourself on a stretch of deserted Long Bay Beach which is three miles long and off the beaten track. You can join in if you’re 5 years of age and up, but you need to be at least 11 years old to ride without a parent. There’s no doubling allowed and a guide will lead children if necessary. These tours are available in the morning or afternoon and are either 1 hour or 1.5 hours long.

ISLAND GETAWAYS
If you really want to get away and want to spend time with that special someone far away from other people, then this is the tour for you. Take a trip by powerboat to a secluded beach with a cooler of ice cold drinks and a delicious deli lunch, complete with an umbrella and chairs. This is a definite afternoon of peaceful bliss! The length of this excursion is based on your preference. A couple of hours may suffice or a full day on your own beach may be the answer!

KAYAKING
Visit a variety of islands and beaches on this local eco tour. You will visit an iguana sanctuary, explore mangrove channels and view marine and bird-life. Trips are conducted in different parts of the island and cater to all levels. Beginners are welcome and tours are suitable for the whole family in these sit-on-top touring kayaks. These tours are offered in both half day and full day options and can even be combined with a mountain bike tour for a full rounded day of activity.

KITEBOARDING
Kiteboarding, or sometimes called kitesurfing, is like wakeboarding without a boat. Instead of a boat pulling you along the water, you are creating power with a giant sail which acts like a kite. Group lessons, private instruction or rentals are available through the Kiteboarding School on Providenciales.

MINI-GOLF
A fun-filled activity for the whole family, spend a day at the mini-putt course to test your short game! Located just a 10 minute drive from the resort on Leeward Highway, kids of all ages will enjoy this pastime. After a game of putt-putt, you may also want to take a spin on the newly constructed go-kart track that is located next door.

NATIONAL HERITAGE
There are so many ways to get to know this country’s historical past. A visit can be made to Sapodilla Hill to see rock carvings left by sailors on watch; roam the ruins of a Loyalist cotton plantation at Cheshire Hall or Wades Green; or you may charter a boat to Fort St. George Cay to see cannons. The Turks & Caicos National Museum is only a short day trip away on Grand Turk to see the interactive displays and artifacts of days gone by.

PARASAILING
Parasailing is a favourite for all ages. Each flight last about 15 minutes and will take you up as high as 450 feet from there you can look down and catch glimpses of rays and turtles swimming through the crystal clear ocean below. You can even ask to be dipped in and out of the water during the flight. One, two, or three persons at a time can go up to share in the fun.

SAILING
Sailing is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon on the way. Full day cruises are a little longer to fit in some extra time snorkelling out on the reef, while the 3-hour option has all this including a light snack. Time can also be spent exploring the dunes or even the backside of the island which is like a shallow water aquarium. Party cruises and sunset cruises are also available.

SCUBA DIVING
You will have the chance to see abundant tropical flora and fauna, experience easy dive conditions and large pelagic such as sharks, turtles, whales, rays and dolphins. With low rainfall and consistent oceanic currents, the dive sites of the Turks & Caicos feature some of the clearest blue water in the world. Whether you are a first timer or an experienced diver, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Resort courses are available for people who are short on time or PADI Certification can be done in 3 days to become a certified recreational diver. Also, 1-tank, 2-tank and multi-day packages are available with all companies on the island.

SNORKELLING
Snorkel in beautiful coral reefs and visit secluded beaches. There are numerous patch reefs and a long barrier reef that runs parallel to the north shore of the Caicos Islands. Unquestionably, the Turks & Caicos is a snorkelling paradise and visitors should make at least one trip to the reef during their stay. These may either be half day or full day adventures and a fantastic option for all ability levels.

SNUBA
There’s a new sport on island called SNUBA, however like its counterpart, SCUBA, the individual is not self contained but the tank floats on a raft at the surface. As a SNUBA participant you’ll be one of a group no larger than four, exploring Provo’s fascinating fringing reef teeming with sea life including turtles, rays, and countless colourful fish. You will be escorted into the waters of the Bight Reef for a burst of excitement on a personalized guided tour. At a maximum depth of twenty feet, SNUBA is absolutely perfect for family members age 8+ that want to try something new.

SUNSET CRUISES
Turks & Caicos is known for the awe-inspiring sunsets that fill the skies with reds, pinks and oranges each evening. Enjoy a languid cruise along the coast with a clear view of the western skies. Be sure to look for the green flash as the sun falls below the horizon. It is a promise that you will never see the same sunset twice! This is usually a 2 or 3 hour tour and is suitable for all ages.

TENNIS
Tennis is a favourite sport on Providenciales, with numerous courts throughout the islands. The courts at Seven Stars are lit in the evenings so you may continue playing into the evening hours. Please contact the Miss Seven Desk to book your court and obtain equipment.

UNDERSEA SEMI-SUBMARINE
This is a semi-submarine that can carry up to 16 passengers of all ages and physical abilities in air-conditioned comfort. Imagine touring around the beautiful inner reefs of Provo, five feet below the waves, without having to put on special equipment or even getting wet! Your hostess will provide a running commentary on this one hour tour. It leaves the Turtle Cove dock twice a day in the low season and three times a day in the high season, six days a week. Group tours are 1.5 hour in total; roundtrip and private charters are available on request.

WAKEBOARD & WATERSKI
Private instruction for water-ski; wakeboard, tubing and water-skate is available for participants of all levels. Private charters may include up to 4 riders/skiers from a minimum of one hour up to a half or full day.

WHALE WATCHING
Hundreds of Humpback Whales make the journey from the Stillwater Banks in Canada to the warmer water of the Mouchoir Banks and their winter breeding grounds in the Caribbean. You may see them migrating through the Turks & Caicos by taking a day trip every January through March. The best way to view these creatures during whale season is to take a day trip to Salt Cay and experience another side of Turks & Caicos.

WINDSURFING
Windsurfing Provo offers windsurfing equipment from beginner to advanced sailor, and windsurfing lessons in beautiful Grace Bay are available at all levels. Equipment may be rented by the hour and private beginner lessons are available for one on one coaching sessions.
